Files in this directory are MS-Word mail-merge data files and sample form letters for soliciting Eagle Scout letters of Congratulations.

The White House seems to respond better via fax.  Included is a letter for the President (POTUS_Letter.doc).  Also included is a fax cover sheet (POTUS_Fax_cover.doc)

The remaining letters are grouped into three categories:
 - Local/State (local and state officials)
 - National (federal government officials)
 - Famous People (famous folks who respond and send nice letters)

Three files are needed for each group.  The nine files are:

Make sure that the text of all three of the xxxLetter.doc files are identical!  They just use different data files.

If you move these files to a disk drive or directory different than where I installed them, you will be prompted to search for the data file when you open the letter or mailing address files.

Please verify the names and addresses once in a while, things change after elections!
